Domonkai members who have done something of notable merit in any of a wide range of fields are honoured at chapter conventions as 'Specially Distinguished Chapter Member' or 'Distinguished Chapter Member'.

Those members who have reached their kiju (77th birthday) and have contributed to the development of the Domonkai over long years are officially commended by the Iemoto at a commemoration ceremony in Kyoto.
